Establish and maintain a healthy body and mind

Yoga cleanses and purifies the body and mind in many ways but it is primarily through the practise of physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation that we begin to experience the positive effects of yoga. Internal organs are stimulated, proper breathing and full lung capacity are established and notable changes in concentration, energy levels, feelings of self worth and self awareness are but a few of the positive effects yoga can bring.

Classes start Tuesday 1st July.

Open level Tuesdays at 5.30pm
Prenatal Thursdays at 5.30pm

Yoga teaches us to cultivate a mental attitude of acceptance and surrender. The challenges and confrontation we experience at our mats cause us to react habitually. Through the practise of yoga and with the guidance of your teacher, you can you begin to recognise these reactions consciously and begin the process of changing the patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you.
 

Regular practise of yoga is also beneficial in:

  • Creating a healthy spine though flexing, stretching and strengthening exercises.
  • Exercising all muscles and joints keeping the body strong and supple.
  • Stimulating circulation, digestion, nervous and endocrine systems.
  • Creating balance, mindful focus, deep body awareness and relaxation.
  • Improving sleep patterns
  • Releasing blocked energy, stiffness, tension and stress.
  • Correcting posture and producing stability and confidence.
  • Suitable for all abilities and specific conditions.
