Anna Marie Husqee, Naturopath
B.Nat., RN
Member of NHAA,
Health fund rebates avaliable

I have many years experience as a Registered Nurse and in search for better answers to people's health problems I studied Naturopathy at Southern Cross University, NSW. I like to focus on improving people's level of nutrition and mainly use herbal medicine and supplements in treatment along with some homoeopathy and flower essences. It gives me great satisfaction to work with the body's innate wisdom to heal and improve people's health. I take a special interest in helping people to deal with stress and to improve immunity.

Dr Yaroslava Khmara, Naturopath

I am an experienced private holistic health consultant within Accent Longevity offering Naturopathy, Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Flower Essences and Homeopathy. I have been working in this capacity for many years in Canberra. My special interest lies in women’s health (metabolic, thyroid & hormonal imbalances), children's health (nutrition imbalances, adolescent hormonal imbalances, immune conditions & behavioral problems), body detoxification and weight management, however I have a broad knowledge of general health. I have completed Bachelor of Medicine Degree at Moscow’s Medical University and became a medical specialist (otorhinolaryngologist) after eight years of training. However, my strong interest in holistic health and migration to Australia changed my medical career path to holistic health and Naturopathy. I really care about my patients and after thorough health assessment which includes case history, nutritional assessment, Bio-impendence analysis, Urinary Indican Test (gastro-intestinal health), Free Radical Urinary Test, Live Blood Analysis like to help holistically with natural approaches. I also speak fluent Russian.

Dr Albert Lee, Acupuncturist

I have always been very interested in the holistic approach to health. By this I mean that doctors should not only help to overcome a disease but address a patient's well-being in body, mind and spirit. I have had 40+ years of general practice experience in Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia. My main interests lie in pain management without drugs or pain killers. In my practice I use a combination of acupuncture, nutrition, lifestyle management and a safe, sure-fire, simple, 3-minute pain relief exercises to achieve wellness for my clients.

Vivian Oberhollenzer, Nutrition Consultant
B.H.SC. (Nut): Cert. III & IV in Fitness
Member of ANTA

Ultimate health is possible for everyone. Everyone may try to do their best in reaching ultimate health, however I believe that general society receive so many mixed messages from advertising, media and general gossip that they simply do not understand how to eat correctly. In clinic I find a lot of health issues stem from poor eating habits and therefore I prefer to focus on dietary changes before I contemplate supplementation.

I agree with Hippocrates, the father of medicine, in his famous quote 'Let thy food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food'. Food and the way we handle food has the ability to heal the body and give it what it needs to be healthy. This is why I have devised Healthy Eating Supermarket Tours (HEST). These tours educate my clients on which brands to buy and how to eat a balanced diet. These tours work wonderfully in combination with individual consultations to educate and motivate my clients. Learn how to eat right for your body type and remember your health is your most important asset!

Sarah-Jane Stockton, Kinesiologist

I grew up in the country raised on organic food, clean water and air, love and simplicity. My connection to nature and humanity spread its roots and grew into my passion and path in life. To nurture and inspire in others the great blessing and completeness of being aligned physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally with nature; and thus in turn yourself.

For you my client, I aim to support your reconnection with nature and yourself through honesty, appreciation and understanding of your unique process of evolution as an individual and above all from a perspective of unconditional love.

Working together with you to create harmony and the manifestation of all you need and desire in this life is my focus; Kinesiology is my tool; will and drive is my force; intuition is my gift and helping you to achieve your truth is my peace.

Alison Jackson, Massage Therapist

I have been practicing as a massage therapist for 15 years and during that time have worked in some very interesting environments from corporate firms, health retreats, mobile day spas and health spas. I am passionate about holistic health and empowering people to be active in their own wellness.
I advocate the idea of prevention rather than cure and am proactive in encouraging people to embrace this philosophy. Throughout my session I enjoy educating my client on the benefits of massage and other holistic professions. Here they are able to learn in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Massage is the most passive form of pleasure I can think of and the benefits are never ending. Take some time out for yourself and enjoy a relaxing massage by someone who really cares for your wellbeing.

Jane Kelly, Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Registered with the Chinese medicine board, Member of AACMA.
Health fund rebates available with acupuncture.

Living in china and working and studying at the hospital in Nanjing I experienced a health care system where Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine are given hand in hand to treat health problems. My previous experience working as a nurse along with a research project, in the Emergency Department of a large Melbourne Hospital, administering acupuncture to relieve pain and nausea have convinced me that both Western and Eastern medicine can complement treatment of many different health problems. I am very passionate about what i do and believe that in today's society Chinese Medicine is the missing link to happiness and longevity. My tratments include Chinese herbal medicine, Acupuncture, Tui Na (Chinese massage), Diet therapy, Moxa and Cupping.
Traditional Chinese medicinal herbs and Acupuncture are extremely good at treating a wide range of diseases. Women going through menopause and all types of pain are my interests.

Peter Scriven, Invigorate Personal Trainer
Cert. III & IV in Fitness

I guess the best way to describe my philosophy is ‘leave a profit’, that is to leave every person & place you touch in this life a little better for the experience.

My career has always involved people, from 14 years as a Flight Attendant to resort management to running a small business and sales positions. I believe this career path has given me excellent communication skills and an understanding of people from all walks of life. My journey into the fitness industry began 2 years ago whilst working in sales at a health retreat. I was selling long stay programs aimed at helping people achieve large scale weight loss. I became more hands on in the delivery of the program, being involved with the exercise programs and supporting the guests through their journey. The enjoyment I gained from assisting and motivating these guests to achieve greater physical and emotional well being inspired me to obtain my cert 3 & 4 in fitness.

When I started planning my business my main focus was to make health & fitness achievable for everyone, be they 8 or 80. The equipment I use in my studio allows me to do just this. We have the worlds best hydraulic resistance strength training equipment which used in conjunction with exercises aimed at improving balance & coordination and traditional body weight exercises means fitness is achievable for everyone. When I am not involved in helping people achieve their health & fitness goals I enjoy surfing, tennis, golf & touch football. I also enjoy reading biographies, Australian movies and love enjoying great food with friends & family. I hope I have the opportunity of meeting you soon at an Invigorate group training session where I can make your fitness goals a reality.

Renee Curran, Yoga Instructor

After being inspired by two wonderful teachers in London, Tyrone Duff and Faustomaria Dorelli, I studied yogic philosophy, asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing), kirtan (chanting) and meditation at the Sivananda Teacher Training Ashram in the Loire Valley, France.
I moved back to my home country, Australia, in 2004 and since then have been teaching weekly classes on the Sunshine Coast. I hope to bring the practise of yoga into as many people’s lives as possible so I teach classes for all ages and abilities including prenatal yoga.
Yoga goes beyond the mat in the classroom and has the potential to be a strong grounding element in your life. Instead of seeing it as a class you may do from week to week, see it as a support for your total wellbeing. Invite the practise of yoga completely into your life and experience balance in emotions and strength of body and mind.
